Questions people ask

If yours isn't here, call 0489 084 681 or email hello@sentoclub.com.au. A real person answers.

Starting out

I'm brand new to reformer Pilates. Will I be okay?

1000% yes. Our Beginner Orientation is designed just for you. You'll learn how to use the reformer, understand the lingo, and move at your own pace. After that, our Base classes are the perfect way to build confidence, consistency and strength.

What should I wear and bring?

Activewear you can move in, a water bottle and grip socks. We sell grip socks at the studio if you don't have a pair.

Where are you, and is there parking?

99 Elder Street, Lambton. One-hour parking on Elder Street, two hours in the car park across the road, and plenty of parking in the streets nearby. Open in Google Maps.

Do you offer casual classes or packs?

Right now we're focused on building a community of members and regular faces, because connection and consistency are at the heart of longevity. If you're new, the 28-Day Starter is the way in. Mums & Bubs runs as a 5-class pack.

What happens after my 28 days?

Absolutely nothing automatic. No lock-in, no auto-renewal, no subscription traps. At your week-four check-in we'll walk through what you've noticed and recommend what makes sense for your goals. You decide what's next, if anything.

Memberships

Can I pause my membership?

Yes. Work, kids and life happen. You can pause for up to 8 weeks per calendar year, in blocks of at least one week. Email hello@sentoclub.com.au at least 3 business days before you'd like the pause to start.

Can I change my membership after starting?

Absolutely. If you want to shift from three classes a week to two, or the other way, you can. Foundation members: your Foundation discount is tied to the membership type you originally signed up with, so get in touch before making a change.

How do cancellations and waitlists work?

Cancel without charge up to 8 hours before a class, in the app. Inside 8 hours, or if you don't show, the credit is used and a fee of up to $15 may apply. If a class is full, join the waitlist and you'll have 3 hours to confirm when a spot opens. Full details in our studio policies.

Sauna, pregnancy and injuries

How does the sauna work, and how do I book?

Our infrared sauna is a Clearlight, widely considered one of the best on the market, in a recovery room of its own. We cap sessions at three people so there's room to stretch out. Each session runs 30 minutes and you book a seat, separately from Pilates classes, in the Sento Club app. You don't need to attend a class to book, and the recovery area has its own entrance at the rear of the studio. Members get member-only sauna rates.

Are your classes pregnancy-friendly?

Yes, with medical clearance from your doctor or midwife. Many of our instructors are experienced in pre- and post-natal Pilates. As soon as you give us the heads up we'll support you with modifications, especially after the first trimester. Closer to 30 weeks we recommend sticking with Base or Stretch classes. One exception: for safety, the infrared sauna is off-limits during pregnancy.

I have an injury. Can I still come?

Usually, yes. Tell us when you book your Beginner Orientation and tell your instructor before class. Every exercise has options, and our instructors adjust springs and progressions to what your body needs. If you're under treatment, check with your physio or doctor first.

Still deciding?

The best answer is a Base class. Your first 28 days, with eight of them, is $199.
